Relieving Depression Tricks

Feeling depressed or extremely sad? Here are some daily activities that I find very helpful in relieving sadness.

  • Yoga: It is scientifically proven that this can relieve depression. You don't even have to do the body twisting moves to feel relieved. A simple warrior pose or bridge pose can help when relieving depression.

  • Breathing Techniques: focusing on breathing while keeping your eyes closed can help when sad by at least 70%. Just sit back, feet flat on the floor, and breath in and out deeply. Keeping all thoughts away, just focus on your breath, for at least 15 minutes.

  • Candlelit green tea bath: relaxing in a green tea bath in the candle light is one of the most relaxing ways to become happier. Just a warm bath with 10-15 green tea bags, can really help.

  • Exercise: this is one of the leading ways to kick depression to the curb. Keeping your mind off of your thoughts and going for a long run, walk, or trip to the gym can outstandingly increase your mood.

  • Be social: even though it's hard when having depression, getting out and meeting people can really help get rid of depression. Just talking to others can really help.

  • Gossip: stop caring what others think about you. In the end will it really matter? Was it worth ruining your life over? Just be yourself and don't give a damn.
