Tips for college

So it's about that time again. The time in which everyone is buying their dorm necessities, books, and moving out of their parents homes. I will be a freshman, therefore I have no idea the proper way to act like a "college" kid yet. But I have been given so much amazing advice that I thought I should share.

-BE INVOLVED; join as many clubs as you can handle on top of your courses. Also, take on as many leadership projects as you can handle. This is the greatest way to become involved and popular on campus.

-BEHAVE; everyone wants to get out and party on the weekends, just don't be THAT DRUNK PERSON. The one who everyone has videos or photos of from the party. Don't be the person who can't remember anything and has a reputation on campus, it's not cool I promise.

-STUDY; studying is the biggest challenge for every college student, and yet most get around to doing it. They juggle studying, partying, and being involved. Keeping a good GPA is very important in graduating on time and also becoming part of the Greek Life on campus.

-EXERCISE; don't gain the freshman 15!!! It's very common for most freshman to put on pounds. It's not hard to go to your schools gym, join a sport, or go on a jog.

-MAKE FRIENDS; everyone needs a friend or two to make it in this world. Some keep their heads in the books so much they don't leave time for friends. Sit aside one afternoon a week for atleast an hour; maybe a coffee date or a study date. It's not healthy to not maintain relationships with your friends.

I hope my post helps as you're heading off to college in the fall! Xoxo
